This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Assistant / Immigration Caseworker based in Toronto, ON. The successful candidate will assist with preparing legal documents, organizing case files, conducting research, and providing administrative support to the legal team. Additional tasks include managing communications with clients, maintaining confidentiality of case information, and ensuring timely and efficient case processing.
- Knowledge of laws, with an emphasis on immigration law, as well as expertise in preparing and managing legal documents
- Strong skills in communication, both verbal and written, particularly for client coordination and correspondence
- Proficiency in administrative assistance and organizational tasks to support the legal team effectively
- Experience and competence in the Legal Assistant role, with an ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in relevant legal software and tools is considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in law, paralegal studies, or a related field
- Experience in immigration casework or related legal practice is highly desirable
