<p><b>Position Overview</b></p>
<p>Reporting to the Sr. Director, Allied Health and Support Services, this role is responsible for leading the Environmental Services Consultants and Environmental Services Managers. The incumbent will oversee the implementation and maintenance of all Environmental Services standards, best practices, continuous improvement opportunities, policies, programs and procedures across all Long Term Care homes and Retirement Communities.</p>

<p><b>Accountabilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>In collaboration with the Asset Management Team, support the implementation of standard programs and initiatives for Mechanical/electrical systems, HVAC, fire systems, nurse call and elevators</li>
<li>Oversee Housekeeping & Laundry services, Groundskeeping Services, seasonal maintenance, scheduling, equipment specifications and general building condition</li>
<li>Coach and direct the Environmental Services consultant team to ensure best practices, standards and regulatory compliance</li>
<li>Establish housekeeping and laundry standards that align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals</li>
<li>Develop and deliver training programs for Environmental Services Managers and staff</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement initiatives for housekeeping and laundry services</li>
<li>Monitor performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine procedures and standards</li>
<li>Collaborate with corporate development to develop ES standards, policies and procedures and oversee adherence</li>
<li>Act as subject matter expert to implement the ES program for acquisitions, redevelopments and new builds</li>
<li>Set direction for the team to develop a continuous learning and high-performance culture</li>
<li>Disseminate performance data at Home and regional levels; oversee execution of scalable improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Provide guidance to ESMs/Environmental Consultants to optimize value and efficiencies</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure programs and policies are adhered to</li>
<li>Provide education on codes, standards, guidelines and legislation as required</li>
<li>Support home ESMs in documenting management compliance for environmental service contracts and third-party vendors</li>
<li>Build relationships with ESMs & Consultants to drive resident satisfaction and staff engagement</li>
<li>Foster a culture of compliance, accountability and performance through engagement and communication</li>
<li>Other related duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications And Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Post-secondary education in building systems, property management or equivalent experience</li>
<li>Minimum of seven to ten years (7-10) of environmental services experience, preferably in seniors living; unionized environment experience is an asset</li>
<li>Ability to travel up to 80% within designated region</li>
<li>Knowledge of infection control, housekeeping & laundry best practices is an asset</li>
<li>Experience in setting and overseeing housekeeping and laundry standards, including compliance monitoring and training</li>
<li>Proficient change management and project management skills</li>
<li>Ability to influence others to achieve results</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, cross-functional culture</li>
<li>Experience in leading and building high-functioning teams</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills in consensus-building, negotiation and conflict resolution</li> <li>Experience in leading improvement initiatives with diverse stakeholder groups</li>
<li>Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Successful Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Background Check required</li>
<li>Must have reliable transportation and travel extensively within area of responsibility</li>
