<p><b>Business Development Lead – Vancouver, BC</b></p><p><br></p><p>HAYS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading engineering consultancy to recruit a <b>Business Development Lead</b> for their Vancouver office, supporting business growth across <b>British Columbia</b>.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a strategic client-facing role for a dynamic professional ready to lead sales development efforts, drive growth, and build lasting relationships across the engineering and construction sectors.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead business development initiatives across <b>BC and AB</b>, including opportunity generation, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations.</li><li>Manage relationships with existing key clients and identify new opportunities to expand the client base.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to align business strategies with project delivery goals.</li><li>Develop and execute sales plans to exceed quarterly and annual win targets.</li><li>Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions.</li><li>Prepare and review proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities.</li><li>Analyze market trends and identify strategic growth opportunities.</li><li>Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.</li><li>Maintain accurate records and pipeline tracking using Salesforce and other tools.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p><br></p><ul><li>8+ years in sales for consulting engineering or EPCM/PM/CM services.</li><li>Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.</li><li>Must have P.Eng Civil Engineering</li><li>Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and strong analytical skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Experience with proposal development and contract negotiation.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is an asset.</li><li>Energetic, outgoing, and confident communicator with clients and executives.</li><li>Resilient and adaptable, able to pivot strategies and maintain momentum through challenges.</li><li>Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and team development.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Work Mode & Location:</b></p><ul><li><b>Hybrid Schedule</b>.</li><li><b>Location</b>: Vancouver office.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What you'll get in return:</b></p><ul><li><b>Salary Range</b>: $100,000 – $145,000, based on experience and qualifications.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits including extended health, dental, and RRSP matching.</li></ul><p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
