Salary Range: $84,006 – $126,005 annually


Hours: 37.5 per week

Position Summary


As part of UHN’s commitment to modernizing and operationalizing a transparent, equitable, and competitive compensation framework, the organization is undertaking a significant assessment and redesign of salary structures for non-union employees. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Total Rewards, you will serve as a critical conduit between strategic direction and UHN-wide execution. You will analyze and interpret recommendations, evaluate impacts across job families, levels, and employee groups, and deliver data-driven insights to support continuous improvement of compensation programs in a large, complex organization.


Duties



  • Apply advanced compensation analytics and methodologies to design and validate data‑driven frameworks and recommendations.

  • Develop compensation administration policies that promote transparency, equity, and legislative compliance.

  • Analyze job data to determine scope, grade, classification, market value, and internal equity, and provide recommendations for updated job evaluation methodology.

  • Collaborate with People & Culture, department leaders, and HRIS colleagues to align analytics with pay practices.

  • Support project planning, including roadmaps, milestones, and analytics for deployment of compensation initiatives.

  • Translate complex compensation concepts into clear, concise materials for stakeholders and contribute to user guidance and change communications.

  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices in compensation.

  • Build compensation‑related training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer for new programs and HRIS changes.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Compensation role focused on banding architecture, compa‑ratio methodology, job evaluation, and market alignment strategies.

  • Experience supporting the implementation of new compensation structures or major changes to pay programs.

  • Strong background in policy development, pay‑equity compliance, and administrative governance.

  • Exceptional analytical and Excel modeling skills.

  • Deep understanding of compensation strategy, policy, and job architecture.

  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting technical and change‑oriented materials.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Able to navigate ambiguity and build alignment in complex environments.

  • Proficiency with HRIS software, specifically Advanced Compensation modules.

  • Experience in healthcare or the broader public sector is an asset.
