<p>POSITION: School Psychologist<br/>ASSIGNMENT: Psychologist - Resource - All Grades or Levels<br/>FTE: 1.0<br/>LOCATION: District Administration Office<br/>EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2025 and continuing<br/>Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a Master's Degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology or equivalent and recent successful experience as a School Psychologist. Certification as a teacher would be an asset.<br/>Training Specialization: Master's Degree in School Psychology and/or Educational Psychology<br/>Related Teaching Experience: Not required for this posting<br/>A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.<br/>Additional Qualifications: Registrant of the College of Psychologists of BC<br/>Other:<br/>Training and recent experience in providing psych-educational assessments for students (Level C as per Ministry guidelines)<br/>Proven experience in the development of positive, collaborative and consultative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and other staff<br/>Knowledge and skills in the identification procedures and program planning for students with diverse needs including ASD; other development disorders, learning disabilities and behavioural disorders<br/>The ability to write clear and effective reports with appropriate school-based recommendations<br/>The ability to provide school-based in-service to teachers and other staff members<br/>Current knowledge and strategies for the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills to students experiencing learning difficulties<br/>The ability to assist school personnel in the writing of effective CB - IEPs<br/>Be a strong advocate for students with special needs and students with different learning needs<br/>The ability to use technology effectively and efficiently<br/>Valid BC Driver's License and appropriate means of transportation<br/>The annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
