We are seeking an experienced Operations & Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic team. Pitura Seeds is proud to be a family-owned and run business that supports the communities it serves.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>Pitura Seeds is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations & Administrative Assistant to support its growing business. This role is central to ensuring efficient office operations, smooth inventory management, and accurate financial processing.</p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments, assist with administrative and bookkeeping tasks, run the truck scale during bulk seed deliveries, and support the accounts payable/receivable functions of the company.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Run the truck scale for bulk seed deliveries, including recording and processing scale information.</li><li>Assist with inventory of bagged product, including preparing bills of lading and conducting periodic inventory counts.</li><li>Support timely and accurate entry of invoices, purchase orders, and work orders.</li><li>Generate reports to support sales, operations, and internal decision-making.</li><li>Provide administrative and clerical support to multiple staff, ensuring timely adherence to internal and external deadlines.</li><li>Serve as the first point of contact for customers and general inquiries.</li><li>Review, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments.</li><li>Assist in preparing regularly scheduled reports.</li><li>Coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.</li><li>Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as required.</li><li>Develop a thorough understanding of internal systems, tools, and operational processes.</li><li>Contribute to process improvements and new ideas to enhance workflow and operational efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of two years of administrative assistant experience.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li><li>Accounting experience an asset.</li><li>Ability to learn and work within company-specific programs and cloud-based tools.</li><li>Strong telephone and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><em> </em><strong>For more information, or to submit your resume, please reach out to Gail Eckert, Director, at Summit Search Group, </strong><strong><span >Gail.Eckert@summitsearchgroup.com</span></strong></p><p><br /></p><p><em>Summit Search Group has a strong commitment to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
