Job Description
Our manufacturing client, located in Scarborough, is seeking a skilled Millwright Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. This role focuses on maintaining (PMs) and troubleshooting high-volume manufacturing equipment, including vacuum forming machines, CNC routers, and conveyors. The position is for the afternoon shift (4:00 PM - 1:00 AM) paying $41.75 per hour with the shift premium. We are looking for a hands-on team-playing professionals with good mechanical skills and basic electrical knowledge to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime. - 3 - 5+ years of millwright experience in high-volume manufacturing
- 433A Millwright License, with apprenticeship completed (preferred) 419 Electrician with mechanical skills can be considered, as well.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills; PLC familiarity (Siemens, others)
- Preventative maintenance (PM) experience on machinery (equipment includes vacuum forming, CNC routers, conveyors)
- Good safety awareness and ability to work collaboratively in a small maintenance team
- Candidates with dual tickets (Millwright/Electrician) for higher pay rate
- Positive attitude, adaptability, team player and willingness to learn
- Perform PMs (preventative maintenance) and repairs on vacuum forming machines, CNC routers, conveyors, and other production equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and minor electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with electricians and other maintenance team members for complex repairs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe work environment
- Participate in machine breakdown response and ensure timely resolution
- Work cross-shift for initial training and transition into afternoon shift role
