Leaky Feeder & Radio Technician (Mining, Fly-in Fly-out)

Job Description

Aplin is seeking an experienced Leaky Feeder Technician to support one of Canada’s major mining operations in Northern Ontario. This position is based in a well-established remote work camp equipped with private accommodations, quality meals, and access to fitness and recreation facilities.<br><b>Position Summary<br></b>The Leaky Feeder Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of leaky feeder communication systems to ensure reliable radio coverage and tracking throughout surface and underground operations.<br><b>Key Responsibilities</b><ul><li>Maintain and repair leaky feeder infrastructure and related communication systems</li><li>Conduct inspections and testing to ensure system integrity and reliability</li><li>Support underground operations with communication system setup and maintenance</li><li>Collaborate with site teams to resolve issues efficiently and safely</li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>Minimum five (5) years of technical experience working with leaky feeder or comparable radio communication systems</li><li>Underground mining experience is required</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Commitment to site safety standards and procedures</li></ul><b>Compensation and Schedule</b><ul><li>Competitive pay rate with daily overtime</li><li>12-hour workdays on an even rotation schedule</li><li>Paid travel arrangements (flights and accommodations)</li></ul>This opportunity is available to candidates in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Halifax, Sudbury, Sault Ste.
