This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large-scale, high-profile initiative in the marine industry, offering stability, competitive pay, and the chance to work with advanced equipment in a dynamic environment.<br><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Halifax, NS<br></li><li><strong>Job type:</strong> Long term contract | Full-time<br></li></ul><strong>Here's why you should apply:</strong><br><ul><li>Paid weekly accurate and on time<br></li><li>Strong health and safety programs<br></li><li>Medical and dental benefits once qualified<br></li><li>Free training programs<br></li><li>New and quicker onboarding process<br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Versatile trades professional with hands-on experience in rigging, mechanical maintenance, and industrial carpentry.<br></li><li>Skilled in safe load handling, rigging inspection, and directing hoisting operations.<br></li><li>Experienced in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial and marine mechanical systems.<br></li><li>Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints for accurate assembly and construction.<br></li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems, and precision tools.<br></li><li>Performs preventative maintenance and complex repairs to ensure equipment reliability.<br></li><li>Capable of erecting, dismantling, and certifying structural components across industrial and commercial sites.<br></li><li>Familiar with framing, installing doors/windows, and finishing work using wood, steel, and composites.<br></li><li>Committed to safety; works comfortably at heights, in confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.<br></li><li>Physically fit; able to lift and move equipment/materials up to 50 lbs. (or more as needed).<br></li><li>Reliable, team-oriented, and able to support extended hours or overtime.<br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada<br></li><li>Certified Journeyperson Millwright with training in Confined Space, Fall Protection, WHMIS, and HSE.<br></li><li>3+ years' experience in industrial carpentry, rigging, and mechanical maintenance.<br></li><li>Skilled in blueprint reading, equipment assembly, and safe rigging practices.<br></li><li>Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and varied weather conditions.<br></li><li>Physically fit to lift 50+ lbs., adaptable to overtime, and shift work.<br></li><li>Owns tools/tool pouch; team-oriented, safety-focused, and problem-solving mindset.<br></li><li>Meets Canadian Security Clearance requirements<br></li></ul>Are you interested in this position?
