<p>Note: Applicants must have 5–7 years of relevant experience managing retail or grocery store operations as a General Manager.</p>
<h3>Position Overview</h3>
<p>JDass Corp. is seeking a seasoned and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery store in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a deep understanding of grocery and general merchandise trends. This role is responsible for driving sales, enhancing profitability, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a customer-focused culture.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead all aspects of store operations to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability</li>
<li>Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving complaints and queries promptly</li>
<li>Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff; oversee training and development of department managers</li>
<li>Manage staff scheduling, task assignments, and performance evaluations</li>
<li>Oversee inventory management, stock control, and receiving processes</li>
<li>Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and prepare annual budgets</li>
<li>Implement corrective actions and cost-control strategies to meet financial objectives</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational standards
</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers</li>
<li>Approve contracts and ensure consistent availability of merchandise and services</li>
<li>Analyze market trends to plan promotions, clearance sales, and pricing strategies</li>
<li>Review merchandising plans, advertising efforts, and product displays to optimize sales</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align service delivery with customer expectations</li>

<h3>Qualifications & Experiences</h3>
<ul>
<li>Diploma or degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field (e.g., HND/HNC)</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or grocery store management</li>
<li>Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage budgets, drive sales, and lead teams effectively</li>
<li>Proficiency in inventory systems, IT tools, and basic accounting</li>
<li>Excellent market knowledge and strategic planning capabilities</li>
