This role requires precision, efficiency, and strict adherence to safety standards.<br><br></p><p>Key Functions & Duties:</p><ul><li>Operate excavators and related heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate records.</li><li>Excavate, move, and position soil, debris, and other materials according to project specifications.</li><li>Follow standard operating procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.</li><li>Travel and relocate between job sites as required.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.<br><br></li></ul><p>Required Qualifications and Skills:</p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment</li><li>Valid drivers license</li><li>Knowledge of excavation, soil remediation, and construction equipment operation</li><li>Strong understanding of environmental and health & safety regulations</li><li>Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds as needed</li><li>Must complete pre-employment testing</li><li>Prior experience working around heavy construction equipment is an asset</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Why Work with YORK1?</p><p>Our employees are essential in helping us achieve our mission of providing exceptional service and innovative solutions through our infrastructure and environmental services to some of Ontario&#39;s largest commercial and residential projects.
