Your adventure begins here because <em>Opportunity Changes Everything!</em></p><p><br /></p><p>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Assists in planning, preparing and carrying out developmentally appropriate program and activities. Program schedules include indoor/outdoor, active/quiet and individual group activities.</li><li>Ensures activities adhere to the BGC Okanagan Policies and Childcare Licensing Regulations.</li><li>Monitor, guide and assist children in daily activities.</li><li>Attends to childrens physical needs, which may include diapering, toileting, eating and sleeping.</li><li>Model developmentally appropriate activities and positive behaviour management techniques. Conducts activities with children on an individual and group basis to promote the development of physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills.</li><li>Keep program facilities and equipment safe and clean, reporting any repairs and concerns to senior staff.</li><li>Administers first aid and medication in accordance with established policy.</li><li>Ensures a healthy and safe environment in which children can interact. Identifies and removes potential hazards.</li><li>Maintains records, reports problems or concerns to senior staff.</li><li>Establish positive relationships and open communication with parents/guardians</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Early Childhood Assistant Certification</li><li>Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain</li><li>Successful completion of Agency screening process, including a criminal record check</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Hours: 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.</p><p>Rate of Pay:$21.22 per hour</p><p>Closing Date: Open until filled</p><p><br /></p><p><em>As an equal opportunity employer, BGC Okanagan is committed to the prioritization of equitable and inclusive employment practices.
