<p><b>SUMMARY</b></p><p>The Manager of Data Analytics focuses on working hands-on with the team as a builder, leading the analytics team in delivering high-quality data insights and supporting business decision-making. This role manages Team Leads, BI Analysts, and Data Engineers, translating strategic vision into actionable analytics projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. The role will possess a strong technical background in data infrastructure, analytics engineering, and statistical modeling, combined with exceptional leadership and communication skills.</p><p><b> </b></p><p><br></p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p>Develop and Execute Data Analytics Strategy</p><ul><li>Create and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy that aligns with Metro Supply Chain’s business objectives and growth targets.</li><li>Identify opportunities to leverage data for innovation and operational efficiency across supply chain functions (warehousing, transportation, contract packaging).</li></ul><p>Lead and Develop Analytics Team</p><ul><li>Manage, mentor, and coach a team of analytics professionals (team leads, BI analysts, data engineers), fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.</li><li>Optimize team structure and workflows to maximize performance and support business objectives.</li><li>Conduct regular 1:1s and provide guidance for professional growth and skill development.</li></ul><p>Deliver Actionable Data Insights and Reporting</p><ul><li>Oversee the creation of timely, relevant reports and dashboards that provide insights into sales trends, customer behaviors, inventory management, and other KPIs.</li><li>Ensure data-driven recommendations are clear and actionable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p>Design and Maintain Analytical Dashboards</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain dashboards that promote data-driven decision-making across the business.</li><li>Uphold data integrity through systematic quality checks and collaborate with data engineering to resolve inconsistencies.</li><li>Proactively seek and integrate new data sources to refine decision-making processes.</li></ul><p>Drive Advanced Analytics Initiatives</p><ul><li>Apply advanced analytics techniques (predictive modeling, segmentation, machine learning) to uncover deeper insights into customer preferences, demand forecasting, and process optimization.</li><li>Champion the adoption of analytics and data-driven practices across departments.</li></ul><p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p><ul><li>Work closely with Operations, IT, HR, Finance, and other teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.</li><li>Translate complex analytics concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p>Team Management & Continuous Learning</p><ul><li>Review staffing plans, work schedules, and oversee daily operations to ensure optimal team capacity and resource allocation.</li><li>Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in analytics and BI.</li><li>Share insights and coach team members to foster continuous improvement and skill development.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>EDUCATION</b></p><ul><li>Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, Masters) in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Data Science)</li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><br></p><p><b>EXPERIENCE</b></p><ul><li>5+ years of analytics experience and team management of 5 or more analysts.</li><li>Empathic and emotional intelligence to lead a diverse team at varying stages of their careers, grooming individuals and doing 1:1’s to reach their full potential.</li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><br></p><p><b>COMPETENCIES</b></p><ul><li>Customer Centricity</li><li>Fostering Culture</li><li>Collaboration</li><li>Problem Solving & Decision Making</li><li>Managing Through Change</li><li>Developing Self & Others</li><li>Planning & Results Orientation</li><li>Communication</li><li>Always Improving Mindset</li><li>Business & Financial Savvy</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>HEALTH & SAFETY:</b></p><ul><li>Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws</li><li>Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies and procedures</li><li>Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor</li><li>Must not put other workers at risk by your actions</li></ul><p></p>
