Job Summary<BR>We are seeking reliable and trustworthy Dance Instructor to join our exciting but chill dance teaching team. You will have a strong dance foundation and the ability to educate and manage children in a classroom setting. This role involves creating a positive learning environment where students can develop their dance skills while fostering a love for movement and creativity.<BR><BR>We are also looking for teachers of all dance genres e.g. Acro, tumbling, kpop, jazz funk, ballet, commercial etc.<BR><BR>We are also seeking Musical Theatre teachers.<BR><BR>Do you have any language abilities? Chinese?<BR><BR>Who you are:<BR>- Good communicator<BR>- new immigrants welcome<BR>- willing to learn and adapt to Canadian children / culture<BR>- wanting Canadian experience<BR>- teaching parent with children age 5+ welcomed (as long as your child(ren) does not interfere with class operations, they are welcome to join class when you teach)<BR>Duties<BR>- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the dance studio<BR>- Plan and deliver dance lessons to students of various ages and skill levels<BR>- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all students<BR>- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum<BR>- Teach proper dance techniques, including body alignment, coordination, and rhythm<BR>- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills<BR>- Choreograph dance routines for in-class performances<BR>Skills<BR>- Experience working with children<BR>- Strong educational background in dance or related field<BR>- Classroom management skills<BR>- Knowledge of early childhood education principles preferred<BR><BR>More details:<BR>- Has current criminal record check or willing to obtain (we can help with this)<BR>- Low stress recreational dance environment (no competitions)<BR><BR>Location: Vancouver<BR>Sub, teach weekly or seasonally<BR><BR>Training opportunities provided to polish teaching and classroom management skills<BR><BR>KEEP APPLICATION SIMPLE:<BR>Drop your dance demo, YouTube Vids, Linked In profile, and / or resume to start the conversation! <BR><BR>Email us: <BR>Find us on IG/FB: illumastudio<BR><BR>Compensation starts at minimum wage and is adjusted based on experience, project fit, probation, trustworthiness, relationship with us etc.
