Job Description

<p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented<strong> Welder</strong> to join our clients fabrication team.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.</li><li>Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces for welding.</li><li>Set up and operate welding machines and related tools safely and efficiently.</li><li>Maintain proper welding parameters (voltage, amperage, gas flow) based on material type and thickness.</li><li>Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools to ensure high-quality standards and structural integrity.</li><li>Tack weld, fit, and assemble components before final welding.</li><li>Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including PPE use and equipment lockout procedures.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.</li><li>Collaborate with fabrication, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure project success and accuracy.</li></ul> <p></p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul><li>Valid CWB certification to CSA W47.1 (required)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.</li><li>Proficient in working with a variety of metals, especially stainless steel and aluminum.</li><li>Strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety standards, and equipment operation<strong>.</strong></li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.</li><li>Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.</li><li>Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul> <p></p>
