Warehouse Supervisor – Day Shift

Kelly is hiring! Our client, a leading company in the retail packaging industry based in Brantford, ON, is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for the day shift. This is a temporary position lasting 2 to 3 months. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for supervising all shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficient and accurate operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the shipping and receiving department.
• Coordinate and oversee all outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and transportation.
• Ensure timely and accurate shipment processing, adhering to customer requirements and shipping deadlines.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate and oversee all incoming shipments, including verifying quantities, quality, and damage.
• Update inventory records and reconcile purchase orders.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety protocols.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping and receiving.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain safety standards and procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including inventory management.
• Proficient in using ERP systems (SAGE) and other relevant shipping software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
