THE ROLE:
We are currently searching for a Warehouse Receiving Lead person to work in our Meadowpine, Mississauga office! Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.


POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates receiving, stock replenishment, and other warehouse processes as defined by Supervisor according to established operating procedures
Ensure our customers have the best possible experience when dealing with our company
Ensure every process is timely, accurate, and seamless, with a passion for continuous improvement
Work with branch management to achieve desired results

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Directly lead up to 4-5 non-supervisory employees in the receiving department
Oversee receiving and other warehouse processes and personnel to ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures
Provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments
Provide daily work assignments to staff and work with managers and other supervisors to coordinate personnel and resources to complete all work scheduled for the department
Assist with developing, revising, and enforcing inventory management and procedures, including record keeping, work instructions, and other standard operational and work practices as necessary
Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move inventory to proper locations and load and unload trucks as necessary
Oversee the receipt of purchased goods, verify counts and quality, complete transactions to receive products, process paperwork, and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures. Locate the product in the appropriate areas according to the procedure
Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner
Monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to buyers, schedulers, and others as necessary
Visually monitor inventory and communicate any issues in a timely manner to the supervisor or manager
Cycle count inventory according to established guidelines and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems
Customer return process (RGA’s) Manage the customer returns process, authorization, and analysis
Complete inventory transactions to receive, assign location, and replenish picking locations/inventory as required
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, coworkers and management
Continue to grow LEAN knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement
Help improve efficiency and reduce waste in all aspects of branch operations
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:
High School or equivalent (GED) required
College Diploma an asset
3+ years of proven Industry experience with inventory control required
Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
Highly effective “leadership” skills and techniques
Excellent English is written and verbal communication skills
LEAN certification is an asset
Knowledge of warehouse software packages and proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
Fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team
Involves working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods
Requires a focus on safety protocols and adherence to company policies and procedures
May involve working in varying temperatures and physical demands, such as lifting and moving heavy items or standing for extended periods of time
Involves scheduling and overseeing daily tasks and projects to meet production goals and deadlines
Requires strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments
