Warehouse Operations Associate Overview

Reports directly to the Director of Operations. The role of the Warehouse Operations Associate is to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of all warehouse related activities for the company. Including, but not limited to the management of inbound and outbound product shipments and effective and responsible inventory management control. This is a hands-on position.

Job Tasks & Responsibilities

– Receiving all products from vendors as they are delivered, including the verification of the quantity of items received as well as assuring that it is the correct product ordered, entering all information accurately into the company ERP system.

– Able to physically transport parcels off delivery trucks either manually or with the assistance of a pump truck. This may also include bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying weighing up to 50 lbs

– Pick, pack and prepare outbound customer shipments, preparing shipping labels and BOLs in a timely and efficient manner

– Scheduling carrier pick ups, deliveries and facilitating urgent shipment requirements

– Ensure that product standards are met as it pertains to proper inspection, packaging, stickers, and skidding

– Management of company returns to vendors and from customers in conjunction with company return policies and requirements

– Performing regular inventory counts as required and follow all inventory control protocols with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in an effort to reduce company financial loss

– Communicate stock errors and discrepancies clearly and effectively with team members.

– Maintain a clean and organized warehouse

– Organize, replenish and request ordering of supplies when required

– Following established corporate guidelines (SOP’s) for picking, receiving etc.

– Follow all company best practices and procedures to ensure safety, quality and meet all service objectives.

– Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned

Work Experience & Education

– Completion of a high-school diploma (OSSD) or equivalent

– Minimum 1-2 years prior warehouse experience

– Previous work experience in a medical device or NHP warehouse environment is an asset

– Experience in working in distribution environment is preferred

– Knowledge of carriers and parcel shipping is an asset (i.e. UPS, FedEx, Purolator)

Technical Skills & Language

– Ability to gain an understanding of the company’s internal operating systems including Microsoft Dynamics, Freight Portals and other computer systems/programs

– Proficient in written & verbal English

– Solid computer competency and ERP experience an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
