Warehouse Janitor/Cleaner

Overview
Express Employment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in supporting the overall functionality of our operations through effective facilities maintenance.

This role is currently not open to students or individuals looking for temporary work

Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, and buffing as necessary to preserve their condition.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Service, clean, and maintain structure, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean cafeteria and/or office spaces
• Clean refrigerators.
• Might be required to work outdoors- snow shoveling and taking out garbage.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
• Follow department and company policies and procedures.
• Consistent and prompt attendance is required in this position.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Lifting to 30-40 pounds

Skills

• Experience in industrial warehouse cleaning is preferred, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus, contributing to the overall upkeep of the environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while performing multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with team members and occupants.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards in the workplace.
