PACKAGE HANDLER
LOCATION: Bracebridge, ON
SHIFT: Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm
PAY RATE: $19.75/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Package Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling packages in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Load and unload packages from delivery trucks and containers.
- Sort and organize packages for efficient distribution within the warehouse.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize order picking systems, including AS400, to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience in warehouse distribution or similar environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational needs.
