<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><b>Title: Visiting Nurse</b></p><p><b>Location: South Simcoe - Alliston, Beeton, Tottenham, Everett, Loretto, Colgan, Bond head, Bradford</b></p><p><b>Employment Type: Part time</b></p><p><b>Scheduled Required: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays (8am-4pm) and Alternate Sundays (10am-6pm)</b></p><p></p><p>We are looking for a <b>Visiting Nurse (RN or RPN) </b>who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next <b>Visiting Nurse </b>will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive the success of their role.</p><p></p><p>If your passion is rooted in all things client focused and you have a strong urge to provide care to a variety of patients in the community and have extensive wound care experience, then this would be the opportunity for you!</p><p></p><p><b>What you will be doing:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Provide specialized nursing care including wound management (VAC therapy), catheter care, and IV/PIV starts, with expertise in portacath and PICC line maintenance.</li><li>Deliver comprehensive support for enteral feeding (G-tube and pump), diabetic management for school-aged children, and monitor client progress in home and community settings.</li><li>Coordinate care and documentation with HCCSS (formerly LHIN), ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting.</li><li>Build meaningful relationships with clients while traveling between homes, demonstrating compassion, reliability, and a commitment to safety.</li><li>Work independently and collaboratively, using strong problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional care with minimal supervision.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills needed for success:</b></p><ul><li>You are currently certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the CNO.</li><li>At least 2 years’ community or clinical/hospital experience preferred.</li><li>You are highly organized and excel at managing your schedule.</li><li>You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who loves to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.</li><li>You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Currently certified with Standard First Aid & CPR/ AED (Level C).</li><li>Can possess current Mask Fit test.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What you can expect:</b></p><p>As a member of Closing the Gap Healthcare’s Team Made for Caringtm, you can expect:</p><ul><li>Competitive total compensation package</li><li>Group benefits including medical and dental</li><li>Generous Vacation package</li><li>On the job Microskills Nursing Certificate provided.
