<p>Company Description</p><p>Collingwood Animal Referral and Emergency Centre is an independently owned, brand new emergency and referral hospital located in Collingwood, Ontario. Founded by board-certified veterinary surgeon Dr. Seanna Swayne, DVM DACVS-SA, the practice is slated to open in late 2025. Dr. Swayne's vision is to deliver affordable referral and emergency care to an underserved population in Ontario. The facility aims to provide high-quality veterinary care with a focus on accessibility and community support.</p><p>Role Description</p><p>This is a full-time, on-site role for Veterinary Specialists (Board certified or board eligible) at Collingwood Animal Referral and Emergency Centre in Collingwood, ON. The Veterinary Specialists will be responsible for providing advanced medical care, performing specialized surgical procedures, diagnosing complex cases, and developing treatment plans. Daily tasks include consulting with clients, collaborating with other veterinary professionals, and participating in continued education and training activities to maintain the highest standard of care.</p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Board certification or eligibility in veterinary specialties (American College Veterinary Specialities or European College Veterinary Specialities)</li><li>Proficiency in advanced medical care and specialized surgical procedures</li><li>Strong diagnostic skills and ability to develop comprehensive treatment plans</li><li>Excellent client communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts in layman's terms</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with a team of veterinary professionals</li><li>Commitment to continuing education and professional development</li><li>Experience in an emergency veterinary setting is a plus</li><li>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent</li></ul>
