OUR CLIENT
Our client is a reputable, well-established, Canadian-owned construction contractor and building materials supplier. This role will have you reporting to the Controller and working within a supportive environment with many tenured employees.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Valid 310T certification
- Proven experience as a truck and coach mechanic
- In-depth knowledge of truck and coach mechanical systems
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in various positions
- High level of comfort in using a computer daily;
- Good organization and time management skills;
- Results focused.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and coaches
- Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify potential problems
- Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest truck and coach technologies and repair techniques
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards
