Our small accounting firm is looking for a temporary administrative member interested in working in an open loft setting in downtown Brampton! The role is required from the beginning of January, through “tax season”, to the end of June, 2024. There is a possibility of this turning into a permanent position.
As a small firm, everyone does a little bit of everything to help the firm run smoothly. Although we all have our own responsibilities, we also help each other as much as we can to share the load.
Administration is key to the day-to-day operations of our firm. That is why we are looking for an organized individual who is a team player and is comfortable with assisting clients and problem solving.
Salary is commensurate upon experience and education.
Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound telephone calls
- Greet and assist on-site guests
- Monitor the firm’s general e-mail inbox
- Preliminary preparation of personal income tax returns
- Assembly of personal tax returns
- Accounts receivable collections
- Document management (both hard copies and electronic)
- Other administrative tasks to assist with the day-to-day operations of the firm
Qualifications:
- Previous administration experience
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields is an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Flexibility with working some weeknights and some weekends in March and April during tax season
- Detail oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
