<p><p>NOVIPRO, a consulting firm and strategic recruitment partner in the IT sector, has been mandated by an organization in the energy and natural resources sector to identify a <b>Technical Lead – Systems and Network Infrastructure</b>. This is a permanent, full-time position based 100% on-site in downtown Montreal.</p>

<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Act as the primary technical point of contact for network, systems, and security infrastructure</li>
<li>Provide technical leadership and guidance to a small team, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational priorities</li>
<li>Administer and evolve LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and security environments</li>
<li>Oversee server, storage (NAS/SAN), and enterprise backup platforms</li>
<li>Lead infrastructure projects related to deployments, upgrades, architecture reviews, and performance optimization</li>
<li>Plan and implement system and firmware updates across all infrastructure layers</li>
<li>Analyze infrastructure performance, resolve bottlenecks, and propose technical improvements</li>
<li>Prepare and validate configurations for hardware and software deployments</li>
<li>Ensure advanced (Level 2 and 3) technical support and act as an escalation point for critical issues</li>
<li>Maintain high-quality documentation, including technical diagrams and configuration baselines</li>

<h3>Technical Environment</h3>
<p>Operating Systems: Windows Server (2012 to 2025)<br/>Virtualization: VMware ESXi 8<br/>Backup: Veeam Backup & Replication<br/>Networking and Security: Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Duo Security, Fortinet FortiGate<br/>Cloud: OVHcloud, Amazon S3 with immutable storage</p>
<h3>Required Expertise</h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong background in dynamic routing protocols and VPN technologies</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of next-gen firewalls, particularly Fortinet FortiGate</li>
<li>Expertise with Cisco networking, including Meraki and switching environments</li>
<li>Solid understanding of LAN/WAN design and physical networking components</li>
<li>Experience managing enterprise storage and Veeam backup environments</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft server technologies and systems administration tools</li>
<li>Ability to produce and maintain high-standard technical documentation</li>
<li>Certifications in Fortinet, Cisco, or Microsoft are strong assets</li>
