Job Description

Reporting to the Program Manager, we are adding one Technical Instructor to our team!. This is an opportunity to play a vital role in the success of our Youth and Adults Programs.

You will be accountable for ensuring that 80% of program participants successfully complete training and that 95% of graduates earn at least one certification. Imparting technical skills that help the youth with mainstream employment is what we do, transforming lives is what motivates us.

Our Programs

  • JDA (Junior Data Analyst) – Excel, SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks and Cognos analytics. Certifications: IBM Data Analyst Professional, AZ900 & AI900 Certificates.

    Our ideal candidate must be highly experienced in data analysis theory and application.

    This person must be passionate about data and even more dedicated to giving our students the highest quality education and training required to land entry-level data analyst jobs upon graduation from the program. The ideal person would have experience with, content, and delivery of interactive, facilitation-based training utilizing multiple teaching platforms including flipped classroom and hybrid learning model.

    What You Bring To The Team

  • B.Ed., M.Ed., or a comparable post-secondary diploma or degree related to Education and Training with a background in technology.

    You may have a Design-related degree.
  • Preferred certifications: IBM Data Analyst or the willingness to complete the certification within your first three months of employment.
  • Proficiency in any one of the following design tools is a definite plus: Python, SQL, Visualisation tools, Advanced Data analysis using Excel and Python, basic machine learning concepts and Cloud computing knowledge.
  • Data Analysis experience in various domains.
  • 2 to 3 years in a teaching or facilitation role, ideally to participants 18+.
  • You understand the differences in style, language, and approach required to deliver to a diverse audience.
  • You have experience teaching young and mature participants in an online environment.
  • You are enthusiastic about education and student success.
  • You exhibit a high level of sensitivity, relatability, and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficient with educational software including, but not limited to, Google Drive and Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Blackboard or another LMS, and a CRM.
  • You have exposure to a blended learning approach and can implement best practices in technology integration in the classroom.
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of data analysis tools.
