Job description
A fast paced facility is looking for an experienced Tailor:
Skills:
Altering garments to improve comfort and fit which includes shortening sleeves or straps, narrowing lapels, and taking in or letting out seams
Repairing garments patching or sewing tears and holes
Accurately following notes left for each project
Experience with leathers and fabrics an asset
Repair or replace defective garment parts such as zippers, snaps, buttons, and linings
Must be an expert with fine fabrics
Must have experience with evening wear and bridal
Requirements:
Minimum 4-6 years experience working as a Tailor
Sound knowledge of fabrics
Ability to use a commercial sewing machine
Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding sewing skills
Good hand-eye coordination
Detail-oriented
Team player
Must speak English
This is a full-time position working Tuesday – Saturday onsite.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
