Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.</p><p>What we offer</p><ul><li>Competitive Pay</li><li>Comprehensive Benefits Package including Retirement Savings Plan, Extended Health Care, Dental, and Vision</li><li>Paid holidays, paid vacation days, and paid sick time</li><li>Encouraging and collaborative team environment</li><li>Dedication to safety through our Zero Harm policy</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Within Johnson Controls’ Data Center Solutions group, support Supplier Quality by monitoring supplier performance and driving daily supplier quality issues to closure</li><li>Analyze supplier issues across Silent-Aire plants and track supplier cost of poor quality and initiation of supplier chargebacks</li><li>Work closely with plant Quality Engineers to address supplier issues</li><li>Coordinate isolation and containment of suspect supplied material</li><li>Manage the return materials process to suppliers</li><li>Coordinate sorting and rework activities with suppliers</li><li>Communicate across North American plants to identify top issues and worst performing suppliers for transfer to Corporate Supplier Quality</li><li>Work with suppliers to ensure effective root cause and preventive actions for supplier issues</li><li>Review and approve supplier corrective actions</li><li>Monitor key KPIs relating to supplier issues (e.g., responsiveness, repeat issues)</li><li>Develop receiving inspection strategies based on critical components defined by the DFMEA process and past supplier performance</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other technical discipline</li><li>3 years’ experience within supplier quality assurance</li><li>Strong problem solving skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to utilize Six Sigma tools (FMEA, Gauge R&R, Capability Analysis, Statistical Process Control)</li><li>Ability to operate in cross-functional teams</li><li>Ability to communicate with multiple cultures/regions</li><li>Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and ability to make recommendations across broad teams</li><li>Up to 30% business travel (domestic and international)</li><li>Position is based out in Edmonton, Canada (support to all Edmonton sites)</li></ul><h3>Preferred</h3><ul><li>Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or other technical discipline</li><li>ASQ Certified CQE</li><li>Lean/Six Sigma training, Green or Black Belt</li><li>Familiarity with reading/interpreting engineering drawings and understanding GD&T, CAD software</li><li>Experience with ISO 9001</li></ul><h3>Additional details</h3><p>HIRING SALARY RANGE: CA$83,000-CA$104,000 (salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, location, and market data).
