Overview


AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Civil/Structural Technologist or Technician to join our team in Winnipeg office. This position offers the ability to work on projects across Canada and around the world, all while being supported locally as part of a multidiscipline team of broadly experienced engineers, technologists, and technical design staff. This position offers interesting and challenging work with an opportunity for the selected candidate to progress rapidly within the company.

Your role

  • Preparation of REVIT drawing models and related contract drawing packages necessary for support of engineering projects.
  • Utilize BIM software throughout project development and construction.
  • Prepare sketches, review progress, and provide direction to technical staff during development of project drawings.
  • Prepare material quantity take-offs and contribute to engineering level cost estimating assignments.
  • Adhere to schedules and budgets for project deliverables.
  • Undertake site data gathering, progress monitoring, and inspection activities when required.
  • Comply with corporate QA procedures and documentation requirements.

About you

  • Diploma in Engineering Technology with CET designation, or Technician training with related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) year's'experience in a consulting engineering environment within Canada, or four (4) years, combined experience in consulting, construction, or similar operations within a manufacturing or processing facility.
  • Previous work experience with the preparation of building modeling and final drawings, including competency in REVIT, BIM, AutoCAD and MicroStation drawing software.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with peers as needed to progress project work, while maintaining independence in the completion of assigned tasks.
  • Experience with buildings, bridges, power facilities, water control structures, and large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
