Our global law firm client is seeking a Sr. Systems/Application Support Analyst for tier 3 M/Windows troubleshooting, incident management, and resolution
Must-Have:
Post Secondary education in a technology focused program (two-year college diploma or above in areas such as: computer programming, computer technologies, information systems, or business intelligence.) 10+ years experience in IT 7+ years technical experience troubleshooting Windows environment (Windows Server & Desktop) 5+ years hands-on M application stack experience Completion of or in progress on either Azure Fundamentals AZ- or M Fundamentals MS- Sound understanding of ITIL concepts/process (ie. incident management / change requests) Nice-to-have:
ITIL Foundation certification Experience supporting a globally dispersed enterprise company PowerShell skills further Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Fundamentals PL- or Teams Administrator Associate MS- Legal industry knowledge Bilingual French Written and spoken Job Overview
Act as a technical lead for technologies solving tier 3 incidents (Troubleshooting, issue resolution, vendor escalations) Plan, organize and follow up on activities and improvements to their assigned technology portfolio of business applications primarily in a Windows environment. (System Patches, upgrades, license and asset management, System performance analysis and monitoring, vendor relations) Coordinate with global regions as they share licensing Supports knowledge transition (service transition documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, transfer sessions) Contract Details:
Location: Must be physically located near one of the following cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, or Quebec City. The majority of the geographically dispersed team works remotely and does not have a persistent in office presence, but you must be comfortable coming in as needed for collaboration if needed (likely a couple times a month maximum) Hours: 35 hour work weeks.
Occasional work during non-peak business hours off hours. 1 hour/month on a Sunday for patch regression testing Duration: Contract to start early September for 6 months with strong chance of extension
