As Portfolio Analyst in our team, you will liaise with various teams within Rogers to create and maintain positive relationships between departments. Provide internal communications and ensuring consistent reporting is done across all facets of Portfolio (Intake, Demand, Phase Gating, Delivery, and outcome reporting). We are open to hire for ourCalgary or Greater Toronto Area Location.This role will have a focus on business results, a high appetite for change and continuous improvement and a strong ability to execute consistently on all deliverables.

Accountabilities:


  • Mature the phase gate process to enable decisions of accepting new work into the Portfolio
  • Provide visibility of the projects currently in the Portfolio and identify new project opportunities for inclusion.
  • Collaborate with leader to develop benefits realization framework for strategies and programs.
  • Portfolio Balancing ensuring we have the right distribution of projects by taking into consideration risks, strategies, team capacity and budget.
  • Support department level status and KPI reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Experienced in storytelling through PowerPoint and other tools. With the ability to communicate complex content in concise and clear messages for internal and external stakeholder.
  • Facilitate and capture meeting notes and action items during stakeholder meetings.
  • Coordination and collection of information to generate Business Cases for approval by executive leadership.
  • Other activities as required.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 + years’ experience in the Technology field with a variety of Business Analysis or Portfolio Analysis.
  • A degree or diploma in Business or IT field.
  • Strong aptitude for strategic and critical thinking, flexibility, and adaptability to a rapidly changing environment
  • Previous experience in IT project and product development is an asset.
  • Experience with data analysis tools, structured query language and data visualization.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerBI is desired.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, oral and presentation.
  • Data driven, detail oriented and have a passion for intuitive data visualization and storytelling.
  • Ability to problem solve, learn quickly, and translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Results-oriented individual with a proven track record of delivering and exceeding expectations
  • Ability to work seamlessly with people of varied experience, skill levels, technical and business savvy, and personality type.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build consensus and develop solid relationships across all divisions and departments.
  • Basic finance knowledge and business case development.
  • Telecommunications and infrastructure experience an asset.
  • Strong Coordination skills
