Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Edmonton, AB, for a Sr. IT Consultant. The Sr. IT Consultant will be responsible for providing expert IT consulting services, analyzing client needs, and offering tailored information technology solutions. Daily tasks include delivering technical support, managing IT infrastructures, and ensuring optimal system performance. The role requires collaborating with clients to align IT with business goals and providing strategic guidance for effective IT management.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor across all levels of communication.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, applications and hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Analyze client IT systems to identify opportunities for improvement, upgrades, and optimization.
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing new systems and applications.
- Conduct regular system health checks and proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support IT project planning, implementation, and post-launch activities.
- Use good judgment when leveraging team resources and escalating issues.
- Daily travel may be required within Calgary and the surrounding area
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in IT support, systems analysis, or network administration.
- Strong skills in IT Consulting, Consulting, and providing tailored technology solutions
- Excellent Analytical Skills and Information Technology knowledge
- Proficiency in Technical Support and managing IT infrastructures
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on-site and collaborate with clients
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Several years of experience in IT consulting or a similar role is preferred
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
