This Ontario program helps internationally educated or returning nurses meet requirements, involving patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and evaluation. Key Responsibilities and Details: Supervised Practice: Performs nursing duties under the guidance of a designated preceptor to safely apply knowledge. Clinical Care: Completes physical assessments, implements nursing interventions, administers medications, and provides patient-centered care. Documentation & Evaluation: Completes learning plans, as well as mid-term and final evaluations to demonstrate competence. Collaboration: Works closely with the healthcare team to align with CNO entry-to-practice standards. Safety & Ethics: Maintains confidentiality and follows all hospital/facility policies and safety guidelines. Duration: A minimum of 140 hours to 450 hours, depending on program requirements. Qualifications: Eligible for the SPEP program as determined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Registered Nurse (RN) applicant. Must demonstrate English or French language proficiency.
