At FDI, we live our core values: Take Care of Each Other, Build Great Things, Be Innovative and Have Fun! </p><p><strong><em>DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</em></strong></p><ul><li>Lead in the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including but not limited to; assembly, mounting panels, connecting wiring, and installing inverters and other electrical components. </li><li>Troubleshooting and repair of solar systems. </li><li>Aligning solar panels according to site layout plans and engineering drawings. </li><li>Assemble and install solar racking and modules according to specifications.</li><li>Ensure all electrical wiring is completed accurately and safely.</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems. </li><li>Work closely with Project Managers to execute projects with the standard of quality. </li><li>Inspect and ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical and control systems</li><li>Install <span >replace/repair/maintain</span> electrical systems including but not limited to; circuits, motors, low & high voltage systems, sub-panels, feeders, transformers, lighting systems. </li><li>May perform other related duties as assigned.</li><li>Operating manual and powered hand tools.</li><li>Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and plans.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning.</li><li>Strong attention to detail & problem solving. </li></ul><p><strong>Trade Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Electrical Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority. </li><li>Master Electrician Certification is required - Must be able to pull permits.</li><li>CSA Solar Training - "Construction Electrician (NOC 7241) Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Certified".</li></ul><p><strong>Position Information</strong></p><ul><li>Located in Acheson</li><li>5/2 Rotation Schedule</li><li>Must have valid driver's license & own reliable transportation </li><li>Travel may be required; primarily based in Acheson / Edmonton area but travel may be required as necessary. </li><li>Full-time</li></ul></p></p>
