Job Summary
Clintar is hiring a Sidewalk Tractor Operators for the Winter Season. Join our ice and snow team focused on efficient clearing and de-icing. All roles are on-call, often overnight, and contingent on winter conditions. Candidates must be available on short notice, round the clock. We service commercial, industrial, and institutional properties. Join our team and grow with us There will be an opportunity at the end of the Winter Season for suitable candidates to be hired permanently to join our team.
There is an opportunity for full time year-round employment with our team. Spring, Summer & Fall responsibility will be running a crew or be part of a crew.
Compensation and Bonus:
- $25 to $28 an hour based off experience
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Must be on call and available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, including Christmas & Holidays (Extra $$ Bonus for working over holidays)
- Respond to emergency calls for snow removal, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions
- Safe operation of equipment on parking lots and paved areas
- Efficiently move snow to designated areas
- Shovel snow around areas where the sidewalk tractor can't get around (this is a 60% sidewalk tractor role and 40% shoveling role)
- Maintaining clean sites, ensuring no property damage during snow removal
- Accurately read site maps and route books
- Maintain communication with supervisors or dispatch to report road conditions, progress, and any issues encountered
- Responsible for inputting daily accurate timesheets into your mobile device (LMN)
- Working smart cellular phone with data
- Arrive for your shift clear-headed and focused, free from drugs, alcohol, or medications that could impair your ability to operate equipment safely
- Work in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snowstorms, and potentially at night, to ensure timely snow removal.
- Previous experience in operating snow removal equipment and/or tractor/loaders & salters is an asset
- Must have a valid and clean G class driver's license
- Follow all health & safety regulations
