Job Title: ServiceNow Developer


Status: 6 month contract(Renewable)

Location: Toronto Financial District(Hybrid)


Position Reporting To: ServiceNow Team Lead or Equivalent

Summary: Our client is looking for a ServiceNow Developer for a 6 month contract position.

*Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions and applications
  • Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules
  • Develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and third-party tools
  • Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow modules and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
  • Ensure ServiceNow solutions are aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Create and maintain documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and best practices

* Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Design and develop custom ServiceNow applications and solutions using ServiceNow Studio and scripting languages such as JavaScript and Glide.
  • Customization and Configuration: Customize ServiceNow applications, including Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Knowledge, and CMDB. Configure workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, and ACLs.
  • Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems and third-party tools using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
  • Maintenance and Enhancement: Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow modules and applications to improve functionality and performance. Implement updates and patches as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and integrations. Provide support to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and validation of ServiceNow solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards. Perform unit testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices. Participate in training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.


Education:

  • Must have a Post Secondary diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience Level: Minimum 3 plus years of relevant experience in ServiceNow Development and Administration.

* Required Skills and Technologies:

  • ServiceNow Platform: Proficiency in ServiceNow development, administration, and customization
  • Scripting Languages: Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Glide scripting
  • APIs and Integrations: Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub for integrating ServiceNow with other systems
  • Web Technologies: Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and AngularJS
  • Database Management: Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • ITIL Framework: Knowledge of ITIL principles and practices
  • Project Management Tools: Experience with project management and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Teams
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team environment
