Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner – NA Sales, PLM & Supply Chain at Ciena | Passionate about connecting top talent with impactful roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks, including written proposals, network design and engineering, and quotes.
• Communicate solutions to customers and work with the internal Ciena organization.
• Perform network and applications engineering for multiple Ciena products.
• Complete complex network designs for customer applications of Ciena networking products.
• Proficient in use of Ciena network design and modeling tools.
• Prepare quotations and assist in proposal preparation for Ciena products and upgrading actual design.
• Provide product and technical expertise to support Sales efforts of Ciena products.
• Prepare complex design and applications presentations.
• Gain understanding of Salesforce/Quoting Tools.
• Travel 30-50% required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Collaboration

• Consult with potential and current customers on application of Ciena products for next-generation architectures.
• Interface with sales group and product management/marketing to develop and/or propose product enhancements to meet customer requirements.

Technical Knowledge & Qualifications

• Technical degree; BSEE or relevant experience; 5-12 years telecommunications industry experience; prior experience as a contributor on a sales account team.
• Technical expertise in data networking including IP, Ethernet and other data networking protocols; general technical knowledge of fiber optic transmission systems (OTN, SONET, WDM), telecommunication networks, storage networks and network management; excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent presentation skills.
• Understanding of telecommunications, storage and data communications network architectures.
• Technical knowledge in areas such as:
  • Software applications (Automation, Orchestration, Inventory, Analytics)
  • Fibre optics, Packet Optical Networking, DWDM, SONET, Storage Area Networking
  • Packet, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS-TP, IP/MPLS
  • Open Architecture (Openstack, REST API, Netconf, YANG, TOSCA)
  • Programming Language (Python, JSON)
• Multi-tasking: able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Motivated technical individual interested in advanced optical, Ethernet and storage networking architectures and network automation best practices.
• The ability to demonstrate experience in technical sales activities and to understand customer needs to develop customer solutions and relationships.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual pay range for this position is $144,000 - $230,000 USD. Pay ranges reflect variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations. The posting pertains to the primary location listed.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus; Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
