We are growing and looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead and grow our Construction & Development desk.</p><p>The Opportunity</p><p>As a Senior Recruitment Consultant – Construction, you will manage and grow a warm desk focused on roles across:</p><ul><li>Residential low-rise and high-rise developers</li><li>General contractors (ICI and residential)</li><li>Construction management and project delivery firms</li><li>Construction-related services and consultants</li></ul><p>You will work closely with the owner, playing a key role in building out our construction recruitment presence in Ontario and beyond.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Client Development and Management</p><ul><li>Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of construction clients (developers, general contractors, construction management firms, consultants).</li><li>Conduct discovery calls and meetings (virtual or in-person) to understand hiring needs, team structure, and company culture.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor on market trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring strategy.</li><li>Negotiate terms, fees, and retainers in line with company standards.</li></ul><p>Candidate Search and Delivery</p><ul><li>Manage mid to senior-level mandates end-to-end (project managers, site superintendents, estimators, coordinators, site staff, directors, etc.).</li><li>Partner with our sourcing team to build strong and proactive talent pipelines.</li><li>Screen, interview, and shortlist candidates, ensuring strong alignment with both the role and the company culture.</li><li>Coach candidates throughout the recruitment cycle, including interview preparation, offer negotiation, resignation support, and onboarding follow-up.</li></ul><p>Leadership and Ownership</p><ul><li>Take full ownership of your desk, including revenue generation and performance.</li><li>Support and mentor junior team members or sourcers as needed.</li><li>Provide input on improving internal processes, tools, and strategy as the firm grows.</li></ul><p>What We're Looking For</p><ul><li>3–5+ years of agency recruitment experience, ideally within Construction and Development or a closely related technical vertical.</li><li>Proven billing track record and experience running a 360 desk or a senior 180 desk.</li><li>Solid understanding of construction roles (project manager, superintendent, estimator, coordinator, site staff, leadership roles) and project delivery.</li><li>Confident with business development: prospecting, outbound calls, and relationship-building.</li><li>Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and a consultative style.</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset: you want ownership, accountability, and the chance to build something, not just "do a job."</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Commission-only structure with high earning potential and no cap.</li><li>Company benefits (details to be discussed in the interview process).</li><li>Clear growth opportunities as the business continues to scale, including the ability to shape your desk and future team.</li><li>Collaborative, supportive culture where ideas are heard and wins are celebrated.</li><li>Direct access to leadership, quick decision-making, and an environment that rewards initiative.</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
