Role Summary
Join the Boundary Services team to own the ingress and service mesh layer for a large-scale, cloud-native platform. This role focuses on Istio-based traffic routing, gateways, and reliability in production Kubernetes environments.
What You’ll Do
- Own and operate Istio ingress gateway and service mesh
- Design and manage traffic routing, retries, timeouts, and mTLS
- Build and standardize ingress patterns for multiple teams
- Debug production traffic and gateway issues
- Set best practices for boundary and ingress architecture
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on Istio in production (IngressGateway, VirtualService, DestinationRule)
- Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / GKE)
- Ingress, API Gateway, and load balancers (ALB / NLB / AGA)
- Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong networking fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, routing)
