Our progressive supply chain is unmatched, with 16 factories across the globe.</p><p>Recochem’s solutions include coolant/antifreeze, EV thermal fluids, performance fluids, diesel exhaust fluid, windshield washer fluids, car care, rust preventatives, household solvents & winterizing solutions.</p><h3>Summary</h3><p>To ensure his/her own as well as co-workers' health and safety it is the responsibility that housekeeping procedures are followed, that the work area is clean and clear from obstructions and that all situations which could potentially result in an accident are immediately pointed out to the Supervisor.</p><ul><li>Wear protective equipment and clothing as determined by company procedures and as posted.</li><li>Ensure that production and plant equipment is maintained as required by procedure, internal practices and standards.</li><li>Participate in preventive maintenance, machine modification, and installation of equipment as required.</li><li>Ensure that production and plant equipment is properly locked out and tagged out.</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p>Maintain all equipment on a regular basis to ensure safe and efficient operating conditions.</p><ul><li>Report usage of all spare parts so that inventory can be properly maintained.</li><li>Ensure that all equipment is properly lubricated at the start of and throughout the shift, as required by the preventive maintenance schedules.</li><li>Ensure that equipment is properly set up and on time for all production runs.</li><li>Make ongoing periodic checks on equipment during operation to ensure satisfactory operation with good output quality and to spot potential problems.</li><li>Make adjustments to equipment and replace worn parts as required, ensuring a minimum of downtime. Must work closely with supervision and production staff to ensure that the best-scheduled periods are selected for maintenance, or to best utilize labor during emergency repairs.</li><li>Ensure that implemented changes deliver the desired results and to continue to work on improvements if optimal production efficiency is not achieved. Problems must be reported to the supervisor.</li><li>Make shop repairs to equipment when required. Note: any unscheduled shutdown of more than 1/2 hour must be reported to the supervisor at time of occurrence, or to production supervision during off-shifts.</li><li>Make necessary repairs by using hand tools or shop equipment. Basic skills are required in machining and welding.</li><li>Identifying and resolving faults in electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.</li><li>Locating and replacing components such as fuses and electric motors.</li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams with accuracy.</li><li>Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to make minor program adjustments when required.</li><li>Support equipment functionality and reduce downtime.</li><li>Log all relevant incidents into the maintenance log by the end of each shift.
