<p><p><b>Senior Financial Analyst </b> </p> </p> <p>Employment Type </p> <p>Permanent </p> <p>Location </p> <p>Oakville, Ontario </p> Apply SHARE THIS JOB <br/> <p><p><b>Job Description: </b> </p> </p> <p>Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join one of Canada’s largest retail corporations. </p> <p>Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows but not limited to: </p> <li>Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly financial reporting and review process </li> <li>Analyze and present the results of key businesses to internal stakeholders including the analysis of significant variances year over year or compared to budget/forecast </li> <li>Exercise critical financial analysis to ensure the highest level of accuracy in the Company’s financial reporting and compliance with IFRS </li> <li>Prepare supplementary information required by the external reporting team for the quarterly external reports </li> <li>Work with other accounting and business teams to continuously improve processes and look for efficiencies </li> <li>Provide guidance and coaching to other team members </li> <li>Leverage AI/Automation to optimize the operations of the Tax function </li> <li>Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team </li> <li>Mentor and coach team members </li> <p>TMGNY </p> <p><p><b>Job Requirements: </b> </p> </p> <li>Professional accounting designation </li> <li>3+ years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting </li> <li>Proven ability to successfully lead other team members </li> <li>Solid financial and technical skills coupled with strong analytical ability with a natural curiosity to understand the reason behind transactions </li> <li>Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to see the “big picture” in a complex business environment </li> <li>Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment </li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships </li> Apply
