Senior Financial Analyst

Randstad Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a team-oriented, customer-focused individual to fill the position of Senior Financial Analyst. As a key member of the Finance department, the Senior Financial Analyst will be involved with internal and external financial and statistical reporting.

This talent will be responsible for analyzing internal operating results, developing and maintaining management reporting templates, supporting month-end, quarterly and year-end information and reports, and internal controls. The Senior Financial Analyst will also build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide professional financial assistance in alignment with organizational priorities.

Also, this role will help support key decisions made by the firm from an expenditure and cost allocation standpoint.

Responsibilities
Responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions, as well as financial reporting/analysis to support ongoing internal and external reporting requirements, including month-end journal entries. You will also be responsible for preparation and analysis of monthly variances between budget and actual financial results, and presentation of accurate, complete and timely analysis to management to support decision-making.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess post-secondary education in Commerce and/or Business Administration specializing in Accounting; as well as possess or be in pursuit of a Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred.

They also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role; and proven skills in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting, including understanding of Canadian GAAP/PSAS requirements. Also, advanced computer skills and superior knowledge of computer applications and database software application is required in addition to advanced level Excel skills.

Bilingualism (French & English) is a strong asset.
