<h3>Job Description</h3>
<p>Reporting to the Supervisor, Exploration, the Senior Exploration Geologist is part of SSR’s greenfields exploration team and collaborates with other departments of the company. You will play an important role in leading geological practices in terms of target generation, property evaluation, exploration planning, litho‑structural mapping, 3D implicit modelling, interpretations of models and QA/QC in compliance with SSR’s best practices (including highest HSEC standards).</p>
<h3>The Day To Day</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead geological mapping and prospecting programmes in the field</li>
<li>Serve as a leader in the field and mentor exploration geologists</li>
<li>Prepare geological maps, drill sections and 3D models utilizing GIS and 3D modelling software</li>
<li>Evaluate geochemical, geophysical and geological databases and propose exploration targets</li>
<li>Supervise remote exploration drilling programmes and technicians</li>
<li>Prepare geological compilations utilizing provincial databases</li>
<li>Contribute to database management and QA/QC</li>
<li>Assist with preparation of exploration permits</li>
<li>Ensure and plan field activities in a safe manner</li>
<li>Log and sample diamond drill core</li>
<li>Travel extensively when required</li>
</ul>
<h3>Is This You?</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Geology; a Master’s degree in Geology would be considered an asset</li>
<li>Minimum 7–10 years experience in exploration</li>
<li>Experience working in a multicultural environment</li>
<li>Strong background in litho‑structural mapping</li>
<li>Experience working in orogenic gold systems</li>
<li>Proficient user of GIS software (experience in ArcPro would be considered an asset)</li>
<li>Proficiency with Leapfrog Geo (or equivalent 3D modelling software) is required</li>
<li>Competence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access)</li>
<li>Strong ability to effectively communicate both orally and written</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team</li>
</ul>
<h3>Working Conditions</h3>
<p>This position has a varied schedule. During active drilling and field programmes, a 2×2 rotation based out of our remote exploration camps or the Seabee mine site. You will be required to fly in / fly out of Saskatoon. During off‑seasons, a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule is in effect.</p>
