Your Opportunity


BDO Canada is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team and own the following responsibilities:



  • Prepare compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non‑profit enterprises

  • Build effective working relationships with client contacts and respond effectively to client requests

  • Prepare trust returns and trust working papers

  • Prepare tax returns (T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s, GST/HST and charity returns)

  • Ensure that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, and keep them informed of progress

  • Follow up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etc

Your Experience and Education



  • CPA designation (or equivalent) or working toward CPA

  • Degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or a relevant field

  • 2+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry or relevant work experience

  • Experience with compilations and preparing tax returns

  • Alignment with teamwork, client service, and high‑quality detailed work

  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
