<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Nimble Information Strategies Inc and Space Concepts Inc are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team within a multi-entity organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Accountant will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting, managing financial reporting processes, running payroll, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for all corporate entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a demanding environment. </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Own the day-to-day accounting across entities: AP/AR, bank reconciliations and payroll.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure payroll, T4’s, ROE, vacation calculations and statutory remittances; ensure compliance with all requirements</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and expense management.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian ASPE.</li></ul><ul><li>Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with annual budgeting process and prepare regular forecasts to support financial planning and decision making. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations. </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and strategic initiatives. </li></ul><ul><li>Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.</li></ul><ul><li>Continuously improve accounting and financial processes to support organizational growth.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist the CFO in special projects and initiatives as required. </li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.</li><li>Working towards CPA designation is strongly preferred</li><li>4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Canadian ASPE and financial accounting principles. </li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; ADP experience as asset.</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment. </li><li>Continuous improvement mindset and collaborative approach</li></ul><p><strong>NICE TO HAVE</strong>:</p><p>*Broad, hands-on scope with real impact across multiple entities</p><p>*Direct mentorship from the CFO.</p><p>*Opportunity to shape processes and controls as we scale. </p><p></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Full time employment </li><li>Extended health, dental and life insurance after 3 months. </li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
