Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard - Pharmaceutical Warehouse, Casual in North York, ON.   

Title: Security Guard - Pharmaceutical Warehouse, Casual

Type: Full Time

Location: North York, ON (close to Dufferin and Steeles)

Pay-rate: $19.00 to $20.00/hour

Shift: Various

Due to site requirements in pharmaceutical, individuals will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

• Diphtheria
• Pertussis
• Tetanus
• Flu

Provincial coverage for vaccinations. Additional fees will be covered by  Allied Universal that are associated with the vaccination process.

Overview: 

Allied Universal is currently hiring experienced Security Guard - Pharmaceutical Warehouse, Casual for our operations in North York, ON. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with strong communication abilities, a readiness to work rotating shifts, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor access control and CCTV systems
• Patrol large areas, on foot and by vehicle
• Communicate professionally with staff, including site management and security teams
• Handle security incidents and emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent security coverage
• Conduct regular patrols and site inspections to maintain security standards

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience 
• Must have 1-2 years of experience in a Hospital or Corporate Office Building. 
• Must be 25 years of age or older due to company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Valid Ontario G-class driver's license is preferred and clean driving record, G2 license will be considered.
• Eligible to work in Canada for 40 hours a week, due to shift requirements. 
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License. 
• Standard CPR or willing to obtain one (reimbursement will be provided)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and use of computers 
• Proven experience with CCTV camera monitoring.
• Position requires "foot patrols", extended periods of walking (indoors/outdoors)
• Ability to drive in all weather conditions, as patrols are required using company vehicles.
• Standard First Aid and CPR (reimbursement provided where necessary)
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 15 kilograms.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
