<p><h3>Secondary Long Term Occasional (LTO) 100 % Grade 9 & 11 Geography (CGC1W, CGF3M)</h3>
<p>Apply for the Secondary Long Term Occasional (LTO) 100 % Grade 9 & 11 Geography position with the York Region District School Board.</p>
<h3>Additional Information</h3>
<ul>
<li>Candidates must be members in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified before the start date.</li>
<li>If you are external to YRDSB, you will need at least three (3) professional, supervisory teaching references (full name, position title, work location/organization, and email address) in the online application. References are not contacted prior to the interview.</li>
<li>If you are an internal YRDSB employee, please include all of your previous teaching experiences and provide two (2) references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.</li>
<li>All applicants must provide a satisfactory police record check. A Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) must be completed by the police service in your jurisdiction and must be less than six (6) months old. The results must be submitted to the Board upon instruction.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Examples of Referees</h3>
<ul>
<li>Principal/Vice‑Principal who has supervised you and can speak to your teaching practice.</li>
<li>Faculty Advisor/Coordinator or Practicum Advisor who has observed and evaluated your teaching practice in a classroom.</li>
<li>Host/Mentor Teacher who has supervised you and can speak to your teaching practice in a secondary setting (references cannot be current OSSTF, D.16 members).</li>
<li>Professional reference who can speak to your teaching practice.</li>
</ul>
