SAP Project Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SAP Project Director to lead and manage complex SAP projects within Saint-Gobain. In this critical role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP projects, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and are completed on time and within budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and operational efficiency through effective SAP solutions. Please note this role can be based out of Toronto or Montreal.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop Strategic Leadership: Lead the SAP project with a comprehensive understanding of Saint-Gobain’s business processes and strategy. Engage regularly and collaborate closely with key stakeholders and business process owners to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate between IT, business process owners, business users, and leadership teams.
  • Accountable for project execution to achieve project vision and objectives within the project timeline.
  • Facilitate key design decisions, manage interdependencies within the project, and resolve escalated issues and risks.
  • Collaborate with all streams to ensure end-to-end process integration and consistency.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Business Process Owners (BPOs), ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting mechanisms to keep all stakeholders informed of project progress, issues, and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the project adheres to established governance standards and methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the project team.
  • Guide and mentor the BPOs in designing a cohesive set of processes supporting business requirements.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, management, innovation, strategy).
  • 15-20 years of experience in strategic planning, innovation management, or related roles.
  • 15-20 years of progressive cross-functional experience in Innovation and other leadership roles, with the ability to work in and understand the dynamics of large and small operations, with a broad variety of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of skills needed to adapt organizations to the 4th manufacturing revolution (4.0).
  • Six Sigma, WCM, lean, or other continuous improvement methodology experience.
  • Combination of manufacturing plant operations and corporate office experience.
  • Experience leading remote/virtual and hybrid teams.
  • Proven ability to lead, shift, and sustain new cultures.
  • Proven results in management and sustainment of change, employee engagement.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading strategic initiatives and innovation projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.
  • Bilingual in French and English an asset.
