<p>Our Mississauga facility is hiring a Maintenance / Refrigeration Operator (Class A) to support the safe, reliable operation of industrial refrigeration systems within a food manufacturing environment.</p>
<p>This role is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of ammonia- and CO₂-based refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with TSSA regulations and supporting plant uptime and safety.</p>
<h3>What You’ll Be Doing</h3>
<ul>
<li>Operate and monitor industrial refrigeration plants to ensure safe and efficient performance</li>
<li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration equipment</li>
<li>Respond to system alarms, emergencies, and equipment failures</li>
<li>Conduct scheduled refrigerant leak inspections and maintain required documentation</li>
<li>Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and IAction technical drawings</li>
<li>Maintain accurate logs and operating records for critical systems</li>
<li>Manage refrigeration spare parts inventory, including refrigerant levels</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized engine room using 5S standards</li>
<li>Coordinate with maintenance, operations, sanitation, and health & safety teams</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives</li>
</ul>
<h3>Systems & Equipment</h3>
<ul>
<li>Industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia, CO₂, and related refrigerants)</li>
<li>Compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and controls</li>
<li>Cold storage and production cooling systems</li>
<li>Engine rooms, compressor rooms, and mechanical spaces</li>
</ul>
<h3>What We’re Looking For</h3>

<h3>Required:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Valid Ontario Refrigeration Operator Class A (TSSA) certification</li>
<li>433A Industrial Millwright license</li>
<li>Experience operating and maintaining industrial refrigeration systems</li>
<li>Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of refrigeration safety standards and regulatory compliance</li>
<li>Comfortable responding to alarms and emergency situations</li>
<li>Strong documentation and safety-focused work habits</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preferred:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage, or industrial facilities</li>
<li>Familiarity with ammonia and CO₂ systems</li>
</ul>
<h3>Work Environment & Schedule</h3>
<ul>
<li>Industrial manufacturing environment</li>
<li>Exposure to cold storage areas and mechanical rooms</li>
<li>Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and varying temperatures</li>
<li>Willingness to work various shifts, rotational coverage, and emergency on-call</li>
<li>Physical requirements include climbing, lifting, and handling tools and components</li>
