Government of Tasmania

To be Tasmanian is to value quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual.

With passion and perseverance, with an embrace of our history and our stories, we quietly pursue the extraordinary. Could you be Tasmanian?

In Tasmania you will be encouraged to be yourself, to learn, to grow and to develop meaning in your work.

You will have a powerful connection to your patients and your colleagues, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and like the only future worth pursuing.

This is an opportunity to secure yourself a permanent position in a highly respected Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre, establishing your career within a team who make a big impact on the place where they work.

Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks, and incredible fresh produce crafted by locals.

After a hard day at work, you don’t sit in traffic for an hour. You decompress with a meandering coastal drive, a relaxed walk through your beautiful home city, or you put on your boots and _tell it to a mountain_.

We offer an inclusive and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that sees our Radiation Therapists as a key component of the broader multidisciplinary team who guide patients through the entirety of their treatment journey.

We provide External Beam Radiotherapy, seamless Varian planning to treatment and we use 2 Matched Truebeam Linacs.

The North West Cancer Centre has a diverse team of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. We’ll actively support your career development through dedicated education support, generous CPD allowance, and a teaching culture, embracing the fact that our service and community benefits through your ongoing growth.
